The morning air was crisp and filled with a deep sense of pride as Birla Open Minds International School came together to celebrate India’s 77th Republic Day. More than a ceremonial observance, the occasion served as a powerful reminder of the values and responsibilities that unite us as citizens of the nation.
The programme began with the unfurling of the National Flag, ceremoniously led by our Chief Guest, Ms. Nikita Porwal, Director and Mr. Manoj Bajpai, Principal. This was followed by the National Anthem, accompanied by the Parade Band, which filled the campus with a powerful sense of unity, discipline, and patriotic fervour.
The celebration then transitioned into a moment of reflection with a thought-provoking address on Civic Sense and Responsibility. The message was clear and impactful – while citizenship is a privilege, responsible citizenship is a choice we make every day. True patriotism lies not only in moments of national pride but also in everyday actions such as maintaining cleanliness, respecting public property, and showing compassion toward others.
Adding vibrancy to the occasion, the stage came alive with captivating performances by our students. The choir team presented a melodious musical performance that won hearts, followed by an energetic dance showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity. Dressed in traditional attire, the performers beautifully expressed the spirit of unity in diversity.
The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks by our Principal Manoj Bajpai Sir, who expressed heartfelt appreciation to the teachers, support staff, and student volunteers for their dedicated efforts in making the event a grand success.
As the festivities came to an end, one message lingered strongly – that while the decorations may fade, the values enshrined in our Constitution must continue to inspire our thoughts, actions, and learning every day.
